Welcome to Prowler Fishing Charter!
Prowler Fishing Charter will take you and your companions on a fun, exciting and memorable fishing trip. You will always be in good hands because we treat all our guests like family. We will make sure that you have everything you need by giving you our undivided attention from the moment you step in our sportfishing boat until it’s time to disembark.
Captain Louis will provide rods, reels, tackle, live and artificial bait, and fishing license needed for these waters. If you’re a beginner, we will guide you every step of the way to help you catch your first fish. If you’re an experienced angler, we will help you chase your target fish that best matches your fishing skills. Nothing will please us more than to see you outpower and outwit the fish of your dreams.
For near-shore fishing, Captain Louis will take you out to the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay where the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel is one of the largest man-made fish-attracting structures in the world! The fish we will target there include Sea Bass, Flounder, Stripers, Bluefish, Drum, sharks, Cobia, Spanish Mackerel, Tautaug, Spadefish, Sheepshead, Trout, and more.
The catch depends on what time of the year.
If we head offshore, we will go to the nearby towers and wrecks where we can target King Mackerel, False Albacore, Sea Bass, Tautaug, Spadefish, Cobia, and Amberjack.
Heading all the way to the Gulf stream and Canyons at the Continental shelf, we can fill up the boat with a variety of species such as Mahi Mahi, Tuna, Wahoo, White Marlin, and Blue Marlin.
Filling up the boat with fish will certainly not be a problem when fishing with Prowler Fishing Charters! Our first mate works for tips and will do his best to make your stay on the boat an enjoyable one. A gratuity of 20% is customary and very much appreciated.
We promote a child and family-friendly charter that’s why liquor is not permitted onboard, however, you are welcome to bring canned beer. Smoking is only allowed outside.

Captain Louis Hocker’s deep passion for fishing began at a young age. His father and grandfather took him fishing when he was a little boy and he has continued this tradition with his two sons by taking them on the water as soon as they were able to stand on their own feet. He loves taking his guests fishing because he finds it rewarding to see their happy smiling faces as they reel in their catch.
